When Badpa's wild swinging punches connected he clearly hurt Aslam and there was no surprise when the decision went to the Iranian on points.
Mongolian's Khaidav Altankhiuang locked one of the most talented boxers in the competition. He forced Singapore's cyril Jeeris to take one standing count of eight and his consistent fast attack brought him the gold medal.
In the other nine finals Japan took six golds to win the overall team prize and South Korea three to come second overall.Mongolia came third, Thailand fourth and Iran and The Philippines joint fifth.
Thirteen countries took part in the six day competition. The next Asian Championships will be in the Indonesian capital Djakarta in 1977.
