TRANSCRIPT: SEQ. 8: PARKER: "We look forward to seeing our old friends, our many old friends, and to renewing our acquaintance with the beauties of this country, the hospitality of its people Lebanon has passed through a terrible period. It has descended into chaos and come back. Now is the time for reconciliation and reconstruction. My government has sent me here as a gesture of confidence in and support for President Sarkis. I hope all of us can work together to ensure a permanent restoration of stability and order so that Lebanon can resume its historic role as an island of peace and prosperity and freedom int his area. I am confident in the future.Lebanon is eternal. Thank you very much."
