    SYNOPSIS: In Paris on Thursday, a discussion on the situation in Indo-China. The scene was the Elysee Palace where the Laotian Prime Minister, Prince Souvanna Phouma, held talks with the French President, M. Georges Pompidou.

    The talks between M. Pompidou and Prince Souvanna lasted for fifty minutes and the laotian leader spoke to newsmen about the meeting afterwards.

    Prince Souvanna said a detente between the United States and China would have what he termed happy repercussions on the situation in Laos. He thought the small countries would benefit from coexistence.

    Prince Souvanna Phouma said he had asked M. Pompidou to help bring about a real implementation of the 1962 Geneva Agreement on Laos. He said President pompidou had promised every effort to help bring peace back to Laos.
