The eighth annual Asian film festival held in Manila proved an eye-catching event as many stars appeared in person to represent their countries.

Stars came from the Philippines, from Japan, Singapore, Malaya, Hongkong, Korea, and Indonesia. President Garcia, of the Philippines, and wife honoured the stars at a reception at the ceremonial hall in the Malacanang Palace.

Earlier Asian film festivals have been held in Singapore, Malaya, Tokyo and Hongkong.
