  • Description

A right-wing terrorist group calling themselves the Ant-Communist Alliance, carried out a threat they made three months ago and exploded a bomb in the offices of a newspaper in Cordoba, Argentina, on Thursday (January 23).

The group made then threat to blow up the paper because, it said, the paper was critical of the government.

Police in Cordoba said more than sixty men were involved in the attack. Thirty surrounded the building and another thirty went into the newspaper-called the Voice of the Interior-and held staff at gunpoint. They then planted a bomb under the presses. When it went off, it lifted the roof of the building and scattered debris for more than a hundred yards (metres).

Miraculously, no-one was seriously hurt in the attack, although the paper's presses and offices were totally destroyed.
