  • Description

A cyclone killed two people and devastated the small farming town of Sandon in Victoria, Australia on Sunday (14 November). The storm tore through the town, wrecking all buildings in minutes and sucking a car with two people inside about 100 metres into the air. A trail of destruction across farms and through the town is grim testimony to the force of the 95-mile-an-hour (150 kilometres per hour) cyclone. A reporter in Sandon takes up the story.
