Visnews 11 June filmed Seoul City Stadium, South Korea, gaily decorated with flags. A record crowd of one hundred thousand people had gathered to welcome 54 International delegates now in South Korea attending the fifth annual conference of the Asian people's anti-Communist League. The rally, organised by the federation of patriotic organisation of Korea, was the largest ever seen in Seoul.
Representatives of various organisations arrived at the stadium carrying placards denouncing Communism and welcoming the delegates from free world countries.
Many delegates came from Western countries, among Asian nations represented were the Phillippines, Pakistan, Singapore and Thailand.
In his speech, the Australian chief delegate Bruce Weight called for greater unity among free world nations to resist Communist threats. The crowd, which had earlier passed with acclaim resolutions pledging to liberate areas in Asia under Communist rule, and calling for a collective security system, applauded loudly.
A bevy of beautiful Korean film stars had a surprise for the delegates - there were small but very welcome gifts for all the chief delegates, who had now become impressed by Korean warmth and hospitality.
