    One of the largest Dutch migrant families to settle in Australia arrived in Sydney August 3. on the Dutch migrant liner 'Sibajak', on their way to Adelaide. The family - Mr. and Mrs. Van Dyk and their fourteen 'New Australian' children, who range in age from 22 to a one-year-old -- eight boys, six girls.

    Although they will be provided with a big house in South Australia, the Van Dyk's have got nearly enough tradesmen to build their own. Van Dyk senior was once a builder, and two of his sons are tradesmen.

    Mr. Van Dyk speaks good English, which he taught himself on the six weeks voyage to Australia. He said his aim was to learn the language quickly to become naturalised. The 16 Van Dyks look eagerly forward to a new life in a new land.
