Background: The Queen Elizabeth, the rusting hulk of a ship that were once the showpiece of the Canard Line, is on its way to Hong Kong where it will probably end its days as a floating University. She sailed from Port Everglades in Florida, USA, today, away from what had been an unhappy short career in America. Plans to turn the Q.E. into a floating museum and hotel failed dismally because of lack of capital. Finally the Queen was put up for auction and bought by a Hong Kong businessman for 3.2 million dollars (1.2 million pounds). He plans to turn it into a floating museum and university.
