Arab peace mediator Mr. Bahi Ladgham, the former Tunisian Prime Minister, had talks today (Tuesday) with King Hussein in the London clinic where the King has been undergoing a general check-up since December 19.
Mr. Ladgham, head of the Arab committee charged with keeping the peace between the Jordanian army and the Palestine guerrillas, flew into London from Cairo in an airliner lent by the Libyan Head of State, Colonel Gaddafi.
While in Cairo Mr. Ladgham made a statement on the latest outbreak of fighting in Amman, warning that he would suspend his mission unless an immediate ceasefire was observed. Today, as he was meeting the King, sporadic gunfire was again reported from the Jordanian capital.
He spent an hour and 40 minutes with the King, and then spoke to pressmen outside. The Tunisian ambassador, who accompanied him, acted as interpreter.
