    The National Confederation of Togoless Workers celebrated its first anniversary with an anti-apartheid march through the centre of Lome, Togo, on Monday (7 January).

    M. Mathieu Koffi, Minister of Youth, Sports, Culture and Scientific Research, led the thousands of Confederation members and sympathizers on the march. The demonstrators carried banners attacking Portugal and other colonial powers in Africa. they sand revolutionary songs and changed slogans against Rhodesian Prime Minister Ian Smith and other white regimes of Southern Africa.

    At the end of the march, M. Eklo, Secretary of State to the Presidency and Press and Broadcasting Information Officer, addressed the demonstrators on apartheid.
