A delegation led by the Rumanian Minister for Education, mr. paul Niculesco, arrived in Damascus?
A delegation led by the Rumanian Minister for Education, mr. paul Niculesco, arrived in Damascus on Tuesday (2 September) for discussions on future cooperation between his country and Syria.
During his five day visit, Mr. Niculesco will discuss problems facing Syrian students studying in Rumania. It is also thought plans will be drawn up to allow a greater exchange of students, and perhaps even professors.
Mr. Niculesco said on his arrival in Damascus that there was great interest in his country about Syria and Many students have expressed the wish to study Arab affairs and languages.
Cultural exchange will also be on the agenda when Mr. Niculesco meets his Syrian counterparts in the Education Department.
