    The Chinese officials are the first delegation from The People's Republic of China to visit Pakistan since last December's war with India.

    Their eight-day goodwill mission includes trips to such places as Lahore and Rawalpindi. The five-man team is also holding talks about providing more credit for the State Bank of Pakistan, and will give advice on ways in which Pakistan can improve its international banking techniques.

    SYNOPSIS: Mazar-E-Qaid-I-Azam is one of Pakistan's most venerated places, the tomb of the country's founder, Mohammed Ali Jinnah.

    So it was an important place on the itinerary of a group of Chinese bankers making an eight-day visit. The delegation is the first from The People's Republic of China since the war between Pakistan and India a year ago.

    The visitors are in Pakistan to talk about banking including Chinese credit for the Pakistan State Bank. They are also advising on how Pakistan can improve its international banking techniques.

    But they've also had time to tour the country. They've made trips to cities such as Lahore and Rawalpindi, as well as this visit to honour Mohammed Ali Jinnah, who died only a year after Pakistan was founded, through his efforts.
