    THE FIGHTING TOOK PLACE AT HOC MON. UNITED STATES TROOPS WERE REPORTED TO HAVE UNCOVERED A VIET CONG ARMS CACHE, PREPARED FOR THE ADVANCE OF VIET CONG TROOPS MOVING TOWARDS TAN SON NHUT.

    THE UNITED STATES FORCES WERE SUPPORTED BY ARMED HELICOPTERS, AIRCRAFT AND ARTILLERY. TROOPS OF BOTH SIDE EXCHANGED FIRE AT CLOSE RANGE.

    AFTER THE BATTLE, UNITED STATES OFFICIALS REPORTED THAT 32 VIET CONG TROOPS HAD BEEN KILLED. AMERICAN LOOSES WERE GIVEN AS TWO DEAD.
