Background: FOLLOWERS OF THE FRENCH ARTIST, ZAROU, HAVE TO TAKE TO THE SEA AT PORT GRIMAUD, OPPOSITE ST. TROPEZ IN ORDER TO VIEW HIS LATEST EXHIBITION.

SOME WENT OUT BY BOAT WITH A MOTOR, SOME SAILED, AND OTHERS JUST SWAM.

WHEN THEY GOT THERE THEY FOUND 16 PAINTINGS FASTENED TO BATTENS, FLOATING OUT ON THE WATER.

THE PAINTINGS, WHICH CONTAIN ACRYLIC, WERE GIVEN THEIR FINISHING TOUCHES BY THE ARTIST HIMSELF FROM A BOAT.

SOME, NOT CONTENT TO MERELY VIEW FROM ABOVE, TOOK TO THE DEPTHS IN DIVING SUITS -- A NEW ANGLE ON A WATERY SCENE.

PORT GRIMAUD, WHICH LIKE ST. TROPEZ, HAS ACQUIRED A NOVEL WAY OF ATTRACTING THE TOURISTS AWAY FROM THE RIVAL RESORT.
