  • Description

Nigeria's soccer champions, Enugu Rangers, stretched their incredible 26-month unbeaten run yet again on Sunday (2 march), when they humbled Great Olympics, Accra, before 30,000 fans in the Ghanaian capital.

It was the first leg of their encounter in the Africa Clubs Championship. And Rangers -- conquerors of top-line clubs from West Germany, Britain and Uruguay during their unbeaten run -- allowed Great Olympics just four minutes of equality.

That was the time it took for Rangers's light-winger Nwosu to get the ball into the net. For a time, the Ghanian champions fought back to create several scoring chances.

But the equaliser didn't come. And after 26 minutes, Nwoko of Rangers headed home the visitors' second goal to complete the scoring: great Olympics 0, rangers 2.
