Jamil M. Baroody, Deputy Permanent Representatives to the United Nations from Saudi Arabia, declared on?
Jamil M. Baroody, Deputy Permanent Representatives to the United Nations from Saudi Arabia, declared on Monday, Sept. 28 that peace will never come to the Middle East until the Palestinian cause is satisfied.
Mr. Baroody, exercising his right of reply after Israel had spoken, attacked the israeli position. He blamed Israeli "militancy" and what he called "intransigience" for the turmoil in the Middle East.
Mr. Baroody, who gained wide attention during UN debates at the time of the Six Day War, denied that Arab provocation has led to recent conflicts.
The diplomatic said that, until the long-standing problems of refugees and Arab grievances against Israel are settled, the Middle East will remain troubled.
