Background: Rabbi Alexander Schindler leader of the American Pro Israel Lobby is here for a round of talks with Government leaders. This morning at the PM's office in Jerusalem Schindler met with PM Begin.

Begin explained Israel's position and seemed healthy and in fine spirits.

American admin. wants positive answer on two question in order to persuade Egypt to return to table. and also to influence S.A. to support Egypt-Israel peace negotiations. I favour return to negotiations table. Otherwise dire consequences. Hopeful that separate agreement between intercuts-
