Upon the invitation of the President of Yugoslavia, Josip Broz Tito, the President of the Republic of India, Dr.Sarvapali Radakfishnan, arrived today to the Belgrade Airport, on a five day official friendly visit to Yugoslavia.
In the same of the host, President Tito, who had not been in possibility to come to the airport himself, the President of the Federal Assembly of Yugoslavia, Edvard Kardelj, greeted the eminent guest from India.After a cordial greeting, the eminent guest introduced to Edvard Kardelj the members of the Indian delegation, while Edvard Kardelj introduced to him the Yugoslav personalities present at the airport: the President of the Yugoslav Government, Peter Stambolic the President of the ??? the Socialist Alliance of Yugoslavia, Lazar Kolisevski, the President of the Executive Council of the Republic of Serbia, Dragi Stamenkovic and others.
In his greeting speech, delivered at the Airport, the President of the Federal Assembly, Edvard Kardelj, transmitted to President Radakrishnan the warmest greetings on the part of President Tito and his regret the due to an illness he had not been in possibility to meet him personally, as well as his desire that President Radakrishnan's stay in Yugoslavia be a pleasant one.Thanking for the warm greeting, President Radakrishnan stressed in his speech the importance of sincere mutual understanding and fruitful cooperation existing between Yugoslavia and India, expressing his conviction that his visit would contribute to their future promotion.During his stay in Yugoslavia, President Radakrishnan will have talks with the leading Yugoslav personalities, concerning bilateral relations pertaining to the present-day international problems.
