    The "moderate" protestant Unionist, Brian Faulkner was elected Northern Ireland's new Prime Minister today (Tuesday 23 March). He had a decisive win by 26 votes to four, over right-wing "militant", William Craig.

    This coverage shows Mr. Faulkner arriving at Stormont prior to the Unionist Party meeting where the election took place. He's questioned on arrival, along with Major Chichester-Clark (former Prime Minister), and Mr. William Craig.
