Chinese calligraphy goes back to the Shia and Shang Dynasties more than four thousand years ago. This previous cultural legacy has been inherited and developed by the younger generation in new China and is blossoming forth in all its refined glories.

These exhibits pay tribute to the new society, the new life and to the changes taking place in China's great mountains and rivers after liberation.
