  • Description

President Zulfikar All Bhutto of Pakistan announced on Monday (27 December) that he would be going to Peking soon, and would also visit Moscow and probably Washington. The announcement came when he gave a reception for the diplomatic corps in Rawalpindi -- the ambassadors of the Chinese People's Republic, the Soviet Union and the United States were among the guests.

The President was slightly delayed on arriving for the reception, and explained that he had been meeting East Pakistani leader Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He described the Sheikh as "the elected leader of Pakistan who represents the people of East Pakistan".
