    UNITA, the Angolan movement opposed to the government of President Neto has claimed that is bow controls 10 of the country's 16 provinces. UNITA's Foreign Affairs Secretary Georges Sangumba who is visiting Europe, said in Paris that fighting would continue as long as there was a presence in Angola of 24,000 Cuban and 3,000 Soviet troops. Mr. Sangumba claimed that it was because of the success of the UNITA campaign that 5,000 more Cuban troops had been sent as reinforcements. His comments were confirmed on Monday (7 November) by a UNITA spokesman.

    SYNOPSIS: UNITA'S Deputy Foreign Secretary Mr. John Kakumba, in Paris with Mr. Sangumba, explained UNITA's aims after reports of their visit appeared in the French newspaper, Le Monde.
