Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, has returned from her Commonwealth tour - a journey of more than 25,000 miles. It ended a few minutes after 11 this morning, when a Britannia airliner of BOAC brought the Queen Mother to London Airport. The Queen, Princess Margaret and Princess Anne came across the airstrip to meet the 'plane. A cold wind was blowing and the Queen was wearing a fur coat. It was six and a half weeks since the Queen Mother had left London for the journey that made her the first member of the Royal Family to fly round the world. She was waiting at the door of the aircraft to greet her daughters and her grand-daughter. After the family reunion inside the plane, she was to meet representatives of the Government, airline officials and Commonwealth High Commissioners, before the Royal party walked to the VIP lounge.
