Background: With a return to peace in Lebanon the country should this year have a peaceful Christmas. there are still guns to be seen in the streets of Beirut, but most belong to soldiers of the Arab peace-keeping force. The civil war has left 300,000 people destitute but at least -- for the country's Christian population -- Christmas can again be celebrated in a traditional way.
