The Chad Economy and Trade Minister, M. Lamana, on Wednesday (15 January) expressed the hope that France would increase its aid to his country to help its agricultural revolution.
M. Lamana was speaking in N'djamena at a meeting with French delegates who visited the republic for talks to strengthen the ties between the two countries and expand mutual co-operation.
He added, however, that before his country could expect any help from outside, it would first have to ensure that every Chadian contributed to make the "Green Revolution" a success.
In reply, the head of the French delegation, M. Stephane Hessel, said he was convinced that the visit had done much to improve relationships between the two countries.
