Background: Patricia Phoenix, the 'Elasie Tanner of Corporation Street' took time cut from her present stage above of 'Gaslight' at present touring New Zealand to visit the Mount Cook National Park, the country's premier scenic areas.

Together with her husband, Alan Browning, and Ivan and Jan Beavis and her manage,r Rod Cotton (promm Cos tenn) they took a ski plane flight to the head of the Tasman Glacier, the only place in the world where you can take of final wheel aircraft which fitted with retractable skis can land on snow ten minute later. The aircraft one of a fleet belonging to Mount Cook Airlines and based at Mount Cook flies year round taking skiers and visitors on to the snows of the Southern Alps.
