    The first African regional seminar organised by the Commonwealth Nurses Federation ended this week at the University of Ghana at Legon. The seven-day seminar, hosted by the Ghana Registered Nurses' Association closed on Thursday (10 January).

    Forty delegates from around the Commonwealth attended the seminar which dealt with problems ranging form health problems in Africa to the Education and training of community health personnel. Besides attending discussions and lectures, the participants visited places of interest in and around Accra.

    The seminar was opened by Major Anthony Selormy, who is Ghana's Commissioner of Health and member of the National Redemption Council,. Dr. R.H. Bannerman from the World Health Organisation and Dr. Helen Mussale, from Canada, who spoke on Clinical Teaching in Sierra Leone, were among the guest speakers at Legon.
