The collection included more than a hundred outfits for both men and women. The women's fashions show a return to femininity with soft, natural fabrics. Fashion writers say the collection replaces the contrived untidiness of the sixties with a return to high fashion. Menswear, and Dior says its emphasis is on elegance of cut and style....... not eccentricity.
Much of the women's fashion is based on the shirt. But, in the hands of Danish designer, Jorn Langbert, it undergoes numerous transformations. Colours are neutral ivories, browns, blacks and navy blues with brighter yellows, green and shades of peach.

Dior's London branch has been producing women's fashions for some time, but the men's boutique has had only one season.
White with red stripes... for the women, a voile shirtwaister, and for the men, all white except for thin red stripes.
Individually, a Dior outfit from this year's range can cost between one hundred and fifty and four hundred pounds.
The blazer is wool and trousers, again white flannel. A man's suit from the collection can cost up to eighty pounds.
