    Crown princess Beatrix opens polio-revalidation centre in the city Delft near The Hague.

    In Delft a polio revalidation centre is opened for the many polio-patients, living in Delft and surroundings. It is the first centre in Holland where the recovering patients can stay during the day to be looked after, to have their special treatments, to do their exercises and to follow the normal school courses. For the toddlers is a kindergarten. Less serious cases as well as serious cases are treated in this centre.

    The centre is open from 9 till 15.30 o'clock. The rest of the day and the night the patients spend with their parents in their own family, which is better and pleasant for the children.

    The centre is opened Tuesday-morning by crown princess Beatrix who is patroness of the "Princess Beatrix Polio Fonds" (fund)
