TRANSCRIPT: SEQ. 2: AZIKIWE: "It was not possible for the PRP leader to be present today. It was decided by the three leaders to adjourn for a short break pending the arrival of Alhaji Kano."

SEQ. 3: REPORTER: "Is he likely to bring Aminu Kano down to Lagos for tomorrow's meeting?"

WAZIRI: "Well, that is what we wish to see happening. That is for Ajihaji Aminu to come, but if for some reason he doesn't come we can understand his stand."

REPORTER: "Will he than go on ahead without the PRP -- by their not coming they are trying to suggest in a subtle way that they are not as progressive as you want them to be?"

WAZIRI: "I would not like to answer this question because we would like the PRP to join us -- and we don't want to discuss any possibility of PRP not joining us -- so I wouldn't like to comment on this. We hope they will join."

Leaders of the four parties attempting to form an alliance have separately accused the NPN of rigging the elections, held over the past three weeks to elect members of the House of Senate, the Federal House of Representatives and the State House Assemblies. They allege that the NPN is feudalistic and corrupt.
