HE HAD TALKS WITH GHANAIAN LEADERS ON RELATIONS BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES AND THE PROBLEMS OF AFRICA.

    PRESIDENT ZINSOU'S VISIT COINCIDED WITH POLLING DAY IN THE GHANA GENERAL ELECTION, AND GENERAL AFRIFA WAS UNABLE TO SEE THE VISITING HEAD OF STATE. HE WAS WELCOMED BY GENERAL HARLLEY, THE VICE-CHAIRMAN OF GHANA'S NATIONAL LIBERATION COUNCIL. MR ABOU WEMAR, A SENIOR OFFICIALS OF THE N.L.C. WAS ALSO PRESENT AT THE DISCUSSION.

    THE EXCHANGES BETWEEN THE TWO LEADERS WERE NOT RELEASED, BUT ARE ASSUMED TO HAVE COVERED THE PROBLEMS THAT ARE LIKELY TO ARISE AT THE ORGANISATION OF AFRICAN UNITY SUMMIT CONFERENCE WHICH OPENS IN ADDIS ABABA ON SATURDAY (6 SEPTEMBER).
