    The first big extra-territorial rights trial commenced last evening at the Athens Court for Fellonies, in which Airman First Class Marion Musalli, of the United States Air Forces in Greece, faces charges of killing General (retd) Stefanos Sarafis, an EDA (Democratic Union of Left) member of Parliament, and war-time leader of Communist-controlled resistance army ELAS.

    Musalli, driving his car on the morning of May 20th 1956, ran down and fatally injured General Sarafis and seriously injured his wife, British-born Marion Pascoe.

    Foreign correspondents, journalists, photographers and politicians filled the court at its opening session. Arch A.Moore Jr., Republican Representative for West Virginia will attend the trial as an observer. Mussali comes from West Virginia.

    Mrs Sarafis was unable to attend owing to her injuries.
