Background: Al 13-year-old boy living in the outskirt of Manila, in the Philippines, claims to have cured hundreds of sick and crippled people without ever touching them with his hands.
Emmanuel Ocular says he has proved that faith healing has broken down social and intellectual barriers. Emmanuel is illiterate, but his patients are not. Among them are a former Philippines civilian court judge and a Filipino manger of a large international pharmaceutical firm.
Emmanuel's origins are a mystery. No one knows where he came from.
According to the Mayor of Lucena City, 65 miles (105 kms), southeast of Manila, where Emmanuel bases himself, the faith healer "strayed" to his house on the day when he was about to send his paralysed son to Manila for treatment. They boy, who had not been able to walk for five years, was cured.
Emmanuel works only on Friday. His service is free because he says his healing powers come from God. His examinations are simple, and different from other faith healers -- he does not operate on or touch his patients.
In this exclusive film, the patients are treated and cured by Emmanuel. The had not been able walk for years before going to him.
