TRANSCRIPT: REPORTER: The occasion was the visit of Jamaican Prime Minister, Michael Manley, to Cuba's second largest city. Santiago............where Fidel Castro launched has revolution more than 20 years ago. Cuba is actively making friends with Latin America and the Caribbean. Castro showed Manley around the landmarks of the Cuban revolution. When Castro took a break for a smoke, we managed to talk to him about the early '60m, when the US was engaged in what the Cuban Prime Minister called, quote, "an irregular war" to topple his regime. He said the US and Soviet Union had reached an agreement about Cuba following the Cuban missile crisis, but that the US had interpreted this agreement as meaning that it would not invade Cuba, but everything else was permitted. I suggested, that at the time the US was accusing Cuba of trying to export its revolution to the rest of Latin-America. Castro, for the last 30 years the US has systematically tried to export counter-revolution and it has many more means of exporting counter-revolution then we do to export revolution. Anyway he says revolution is not like sugar ............it's a cyclone, you can't export a cyclone.
