    Driving a Cooper-Monaco, Britain's Stirling Moss broke the strain of bad luck which has followed him through this season's races, when he won the over-2,000cc class event of the international sports car meeting at Karlskoga, Central Sweden, August 9.

    Leading from the start Moss completed the 30 laps in 50 minutes 2.8 seconds, at an average speed of 67.37 mph.

    Australian Jack Brabham, favourite for the world championship title, soon came up from an unfavourable position, and on the tenth lap passed Bonnier of Sweden.

    The Australian, driving a Cooper-Climax, won the under-2,000cc event of the meeting with an average speed of 66.12 mph.
