The talks between the Soviet Union and France in Moscow are completed. The agreements between the government of the USSR and France about cooperation in the field of the study and the exploration of Space for peace purposes, and also about scientifical-technical and economic cooperation were signed by Couve de Murville, the Foreign Minister of France, and by A. A. Gromyko, the Foreign Minister of the USSR.
N. V. Podgorny, the chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, and the President of the Republic of France Charles De Gaulle signed the Soviet-French Declaration. This document status that: "The visit of General De Gaulle in the USSR and the talks that took place during this visit are a fundamental contribution in the development of the mutual accord between the Soviet Union and France".

During his stay in Volgograd, the President of France Charles De Gaulle visited the legendary Mamayev Burial Mound, where under the guidance of sculptor E. Vuchetich a monument-ensemble in memory of the defendants of the Volga city is being erected. A guard of honour stand at the foot of the monument. General De Gaulle and A. N. Kosygin honour the memory of the dead and lay wreaths.
