  • Description

Sumptuous creations in mink, perhaps still the quickest way to a girl's heart, were exhibited April 18 at the Crillon Hotel, Paris. Models were by Dior, Castillo, Heim, Revillon and others.

The total value of the minks presented was said to be in the region of GBP750,000. And the value of exquisite jewelry lent for the occasion by Harry Winston - who modestly calls himself the "Napoleon of Jewellery" - was put at nearly GBP2 million.

Model Lucette, certainly pretty enough at any time, was enhanced at one stage by a superb mink stole and a diamond necklace worth GBP500,000. To make insurance agents even more uneasy she also wore a diamond clip said to be worth about GBP200,000.
