  • Description

Aerial shots over Mexican farmlands tell the start of a disaster story of floods, lost lives and landslides this week after a cyclone hit the Pacific coast.

Estimates in the four-State afflicted area put the death call at over 600 persons with thousands injured. Thousands of acres of farmlands were under water destroying cattle and crops.

A landslide engulfed one village wiping out most of the population, first reports said. Swarms of scorpions and tarantulas disturbed from their nests in the area were reported to have attacked the victims.

Other reports told of crews escaping from their foundering ships off the coast.
