    Motor racing at the Oulton Park, Cheshire, circuit was marred yesterday (Friday) by injuries to three drivers in the Formula Three race. The drivers were taken for treatment at Chester Royal Infirmary.

    The first crash in the race came within 150 yards of the start, Driver Peter Deal was thrown from his car and struck and by another car.

    Within 150 yards of the grid at the start of the race, three cars had crashed. Deal was the only driver who was hurt in this mix-up, but later on in the race, another driver hit a tree and a third was flung from his car on a bend.

    The race -- part of the British Racing and Sports Car Club's meeting -- was won by Alan Rollinson in a Brabham BT 21, who beat Chris Williams in a similar car, by one-fifth of a second.
