    THE RHODESIAN LEADER, MR. IAN SMITH, ADDRESSED THE NATION YESTERDAY (WEDNESDAY) ABOUT HIS GIBRALTAR TALKS WITH THE BRITISH PRIME MINISTER MR. WILSON. DURING HIS RADIO ADDRESS, MR. SMITH SAID THERE WAS A DISTINCT POSSIBILITY THAT A SETTLEMENT COULD BE REACHED PROVIDED THAT BRITAIN REMOVED ITS DEMANDS THAT RHODESIA ACCEPT THE OVERRIDING AUTHORITY OF THE BRITISH PRIVY COUNCIL TO HEAR AND PASS JUDGMENT ON APPEALS AGAINST RHODESIAN LEGISLATION.
