    APART FROM GHANA ITSELF, THE GROUP COMPRISES CANADA, DENMARK, NORWAY, BRITAIN AND THE UNITED STATES.

    REPRESENTATIVES FROM THE WORLD BANK, THE IMF AND THE ORGANISATION FOR ECONOMIC CO-OPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT WERE ALSO PRESENT.

    GHANA'S DELEGATION WAS LED BY MR EMMANUEL MOI OMABOE, THE COMMISSIONER FOR ECONOMIC AFFAIRS.

    THE COMMITTEE WAS EXPECTED TO DISCUSS THE PRESENT ECONOMIC SITUATION IN GHANA AND TO EXAMINE THE WAY IN WHICH AID IS BEING USED. IT WAS ALSO LIKELY TO CONSIDER THE FUTURE ECONOMIC NEEDS OF THE COUNTRY.

    THE MEETING - AT THE UNESCO BUILDING IN PARIS - WAS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE UNTIL THURSDAY ON FRIDAY OF THIS WEEK.
