    THE TALKS FOLLOWED AN HOUR LONG DISCUSSION EARLIER IN THE DAY WITH THE BRITISH FOREIGN SECRETARY, MR MICHAEL STEWART. A MAJOR TOPIC WAS GROWING COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL TIES BETWEEN CONGO-KINSHASA AND BRITAIN.

    MR. ADOULA IS IN BRITAIN ON A FOUR-DAY VISIT AND HIS TALKS ALSO INCLUDED AN EXCHANGE OF VIEWS ON RHODESIA AND OTHER CURRENT AFRICAN QUESTIONS AS WELL AS TRADE.

    LAST YEAR CONGO-KINSHASA EXPORTED GOODS WORTH NEARLY GBP 23 MILLION STERLING (54 MILLION DOLLARS), MAINLY DIAMONDS, COPPER, ZINC, TIMBER, TEA AND COFFEE. BRITAIN'S PRINCIPAL EXPORTS TO KINSHASA ARE MOTOR VEHICLES AND MACHINERY WORTH NEARLY GBP 11 MILLION STERLING (26 MILLION DOLLARS).

    BEFORE LEAVING THE UNITED KINGDOM, MR ADOULA WILL VISIT MOTOR AND ENGINEERING FACTORIES.
