    Due to enter service with the Royal Air Force in 1969, the Phantom F4m is a supersonic strike aircraft with interceptor capability, and already holder of fifteen speed and climb world records. The RAF version of this McDonnel aircraft is powered by two Rolls Royce Spey engines, giving a speed range of 150 to 1600 m.p.h. In this strike role, the Phantom can carry some ten tons of weapons.
