TEENAGE ARABS THREW BOMBS AT ISRAELI BUILDINGS IN THREE EUROPEAN CAPITALS TODAY (MONDAY). IN AMMAN A SPOKESMAN FOR THE POPULAR FRONT FOR THE LIBERATION OF PALESTINE SAID THE ATTACKERS WERE "TIGER CUBS" OF THE FRONT'S "HO CHI MINH" SECTION.

THE THREE EXPLOSIONS CAME WITHIN MINUTES OF ONE ANOTHER AROUND MIDDAY.

TWO GRENADES SHATTERED THE FRONT OF THE OFFICES OF EL AL, THE ISRAELI AIRLINE, IN BRUSSELS. FOUR EMPLOYEES, TWO MEN AND TWO WOMEN, WERE INJURED. POLICE DETAINED AN ARAB YOUTH BUT A SECOND TEENAGER ESCAPED. THE CHIEF COMMISSIONER OF POLICE SAID THE ARRESTED YOUTH GAVE HIS AGE AS 16 AND SAID HE CAME FROM A MIDDLE EAST COUNTRY, BUT REFUSED TO SAY WHICH ONE. THE YOUTH WHO ESCAPED WAS SMALLER AND YOUNGER, AND POLICE WERE STILL LOOKING FOR HIM, THE COMMISSIONER SAID.

IN THE HAGUE A POLICEMAN ON DUTY OUTSIDE THE ISRAELI EMBASSY SEIZED A YOUTH OF ABOUT 14 AFTER A BOMB HAD BEEN THROWN AT THE EMBASSY. POLICE SAID HE HAD A SECOND BOMB IN HIS POCKET.

THE BOMB MEANT FOR THE EMBASSY EXPLODED ON THE BALCONY OF THE HOUSE NEXT DOOR, BELONGING TO THE FIRST SECRETARY OF THE WEST GERMAN EMBASSY, AND DAMAGE WAS LIMITED TO BROKEN WINDOWS.

IN WEST GERMANY TWO HAND GRENADES WERE THROWN AT THE ISRAELI EMBASSY IN BAD GODESBERG, THE FASHIONABLE SUBURB OF BONN. THEY WERE HURLED SOME 20 YARDS (METRES) ACROSS A CAR PARK AND STRUCK THE FOOT OF THE BACK WALL JUST BELOW LARGE WINDOWS BEHIND WHICH STAFF WERE WORKING.

POLICE SAID THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUS INJURIES IF THE GRENADES HAD GONE THROUGH THE BARRED PLATE-GLASS WINDOWS.
