    THAT NIGHT, MR. KHIDER TRAVELLED TO ALGIERS FOR TALKS WITH MR. BELKACEM KRIM, VICE-PREMIER, AND FORMER FOREIGN MINISTER IN THE F.L.N. GOVERNMENT.

    BEN BELLA'S TROOPS ARRESTED VICE-PREMIER MOHAMMED BOUDIAF JULY 30 WHEN HE WENT TO VISIT HIS HOME TOWN OF M'SILA, ABOUT 140 MILES SOUTHWEST OF ALGIERS. MR. BOUDIAF, WHO WITH MR. BELKACEM KRIM, HAD TURNED WILLAYA (MILITARY ZONE) 3, IN THE KABYLIA MOUNTAINS INTO AN ANTI-BEN BELLA STRONGHOLD, WAS CAPTURED WHEN HE LEFT HIS MILITARY REGION WITH AN ESCORT OF FOUR SOLDIERS TO VISIT HIS FAMILY WHOM HE HAD NOT SEEN FOR SIX YEARS.
