Background: Pai Hsiang-Kuo, Foreign Trade Minister of the People's Republic of China, signed a new trade agreement on behalf of his country, in Rome on Friday (29 October). Under the new agreement both countries, China and Italy, will grant each other "most favoured nation" treatment. Signor Mario Zagari, Italy's Minister of Trade, also signed the document which will be renewable annually. Mr. Pai is heading a Chinese Trade Delegation which is spending a week in Italy. He has already had talks with Prime Minister Emilio Colombo, and Signor Aldo Moro....Italy's Foreign Minister.
