Background: The experiment which took place today, the dousing of an oily substance on the vegetation and a house in Zone A -(400 sq. metre test area only). The experiment was proposed as one way of decontaminating the area, by the parent company of ICMESA, Givaulan, which is in turn owned by the large multi-national chemical company ROCHE. In the next fifteen days, other experiments will be carried out, in all 350. Test to determine whether the poisonous substance dioxine, is disappearing will take place at the same time. There will be over 100 vegetation samples and 250 earth samples taken in the next 15 days which are hoped will determine whether the givaudan proposal is successful.
