IT SAID KATANGESE FORCES "COURAGEOUSLY RESISTED" THE UN ATTACKS AND HELD THEIR POSITIONS.

    MEANWHILE, UN TROOPS HAVE CONTINUED TO CONSOLIDATE THEIR POSITIONS FOLLOWING THEIR RAPID ADVANCES THROUGH KATANGA. AND, FOLLOWING REPORTS OF THE MOVEMENT OF A LARGE NUMBER OF REFUGEES, THEY SET UP A NUMBER OF CHECK POINTS ON THE BORDER BETWEEN RHODESIA AND KATANGA.
