    Background: Vulcan B2 carries the Blue Steel stand-off air-to-ground missile and is also excellent in the conventional role being able to carry 21 1,000 lb. bombs. It can fly at very high level or at very low level beneath enemy radar. its large delta wing configuration gives a unique combination of load carrying capabilities, high subsonic speed and long range. It is powered by four 20,000 lbs, thrust Bristol Siddeley Olympus engines and like the Victor can be refuelled in flight.
